Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of BackPark, an iPhone application ("the App") published by Mete Erdal Köroğlu ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"), we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use BackPark on Apple-branded devices you own or control. The Apple EULA applies to your use of the App in addition to these Terms; where they conflict, the more user-protective term controls.

2. Subscriptions, lifetime, and free trial

2.1 What you can buy

• BackPark Pro — Yearly ($3.99 / year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers)
• BackPark Pro — Lifetime ($7.99, one-time)

Local prices in your currency are shown inside the App and on the App Store.

2.2 Free trial

If you start the 3-day free trial of the yearly subscription, you will not be charged for the first 3 days. The subscription will automatically convert to the paid yearly rate at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You can cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

2.3 Auto-renewal

Yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the same price (subject to currency adjustments) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your iTunes account is charged at confirmation of purchase and within 24 hours of the end of each renewal period.

2.4 Managing or cancelling

You manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or via the App Store app. Deleting BackPark does not cancel an active subscription.

2.5 Lifetime purchase

The Lifetime purchase is a non-consumable in-app product. It grants access to BackPark Pro features for the lifetime of the App on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We will make reasonable effort to maintain the App, but we do not guarantee that any specific feature or third-party integration will be available forever (see §6).

3. Refunds

All purchases run through Apple. We cannot issue refunds because we never receive your payment directly. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides at its discretion based on its refund policy.

EU consumers retain their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal where applicable; consult Apple's process to exercise it.

4. Acceptable use

• Use BackPark for its intended purpose: saving and returning to your own parked vehicle.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the App's protections except as permitted by applicable law.
• Do not use BackPark to track another person without their informed consent — the App is not designed for that and doing so may be illegal in your jurisdiction.
• Do not use BackPark while operating a vehicle in motion. Park first, then save.

BackPark stores your data on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimers

BackPark is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that navigation guidance will be accurate in every environment. Indoor positioning, dead-reckoning, and AR relocalization depend on sensor quality and environmental conditions and may drift.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — iOS updates, hardware changes, or third-party service changes may temporarily affect features.
• You are responsible for remembering generally where you parked. BackPark is a memory aid, not a vehicle recovery service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App (or its in-app purchases) in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or vehicles — even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Third parties

The App uses Apple frameworks (Core Location, Core Motion, ARKit, HealthKit, Vision, ActivityKit, WidgetKit, StoreKit) and the following third-party SDKs:

• RevenueCat — subscription receipt validation.
• TelemetryDeck — anonymous aggregate signals (currently inactive; see Privacy Policy).

9. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms over time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except that mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye.
